Tesla Crash Suspected of Involving Autopilot Draws Investigation

Michigan State Police said the driver of a Tesla Model Y had the vehicle’s advanced driver-assistance system, known as Autopilot, engaged when he plowed into a police vehicle Wednesday on a Lansing, Mich.-area highway. Troopers had pulled over to investigate a separate crash and had their emergency lights on, police said. No one was injured.

WASHINGTON, March 15 (Reuters) – The U.S. auto safety agency said on Monday it is investigating a crash in Detroit on Thursday involving a Tesla that became wedged underneath a tractor-trailer and left a passenger in critical condition.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating a “violent” crash that involved a Tesla sedan and a tractor trailer late last week in Detroit. Investigators have not yet said whether Tesla’s Autopilot, FSD or FSD beta may have contributed to the crash.

16-year-old arrested for stealing car, involved in hit and run crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A 16-year-old is facing charges after officers with the Lincoln Police Department said he stole a car and was involved in a hit and run crash.

On Tuesday, around 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen car near 26th and J Streets.

LPD said the victim explained that she’d left her 2010 Saturn Outlook running while she stepped inside her home.

A day later, on Wednesday, at 3:47 p.m., officers received a call about a car matching this description that had been involved in a hit and run near 38th and Apple Streets.
